Eva Writes

My name is Eva Nel Brettrager, but you can call me Eva (they/them/theirs).

I have been writing on and off for as long as I can remember, even in my childhood... in the beforetimes. But then COVID-19 struck, and most of the world was sequestered into a deep quarantine. I was very alone during this time and fell into a deep depression. Thanks largely to Discord, I found a group of friends that I could connect with and not feel so alone, and through this I began to really develop my writing into something more. Although I do still consider myself somewhat amateur, I feel that I have a real sense of direction as a writer.

My pieces have been produced as short form audio podcasts in multiple areas, and I also have begun the building blocks of my own horror fiction podcast - Horror Stories for the Faint of Heart. I am 34 years young, and currently a resident of Brunswick, OH where I live with my partner, Rob, and our Alaskan Malamute, Jude. I work professionally in the theatre industry and have a day job as a phlebotomist.
